Heat Pumps
Heat pumps provide both heating and air conditioning for your home. When it's warm outside, the heat pump transfers hot air from inside your house to the outside, acting as an air conditioner. When it'd cold out, heat is extracted from the air outside in order to heat your home. This works even when the outside temperature is 0° Celcius. On severely cold days your home may require additional heat from another source.
